The Shropshire Chamber of Commerce’s new Sustainability Partnership has been launched.
The first gathering, hosted by Coforge’s Andrew Goff at Telford College, was seen as an ‘insightful and educational’ success.
It featured several speakers, including Nigel Ryan of EVC Solutions and Tina Cooke of Cuan Wildlife Rescue, who shared their expertise.
Mr Goff said: “The whole idea of the event was to bring people together, talk, and start to make the connections needed to form partnerships and achieve sustainable legacy here in Shropshire.”
Wayne Carter of Fabweld Steel Products added: “What impressed me most was the collaborative spirit in the room.”
The event provided an opportunity to discuss the importance of sustainability in business.
Sarah Davies from Telford College said: “It was also a fantastic opportunity to hear what other local businesses are actively doing.”
The next meeting is scheduled for October 7.
