Doha, November 6 (QNA) – The Friends of the Environment Center, affiliated with the Ministry of Sports and Youth, is participating in Qatar Sustainability Week 2025 with a range of interactive activities aimed at raising environmental awareness and promoting a culture of sustainable practices among youth and the community.
The events, which continue until next Saturday, include a pavilion for the center featuring an exhibition of recycling projects, a workshop on the principles of agriculture, a photo exhibition showcasing the “Qatar Environment Lens” initiative, and an exhibition of insects native to Qatar, highlighting local biodiversity and the importance of its preservation.
In this context, Fahad Abdullah Malik, Director of Public Relations and Communication at the Friends of the Environment Center, affirmed that the center’s participation in Qatar Sustainability Week stems from its commitment to its educational role in supporting the country’s efforts to achieve sustainable development and spreading a culture of environmental awareness, particularly among youth, who are considered key partners in building a green and sustainable future.
He said that the center, through its programs and activities, seeks to establish positive environmental behavior and stimulate innovation in the fields of agriculture, recycling and the preservation of natural resources, noting that the participation of the Ministry of Sports and Youth in this national event reflects the integration between governmental and community efforts to achieve Qatar National Vision 2030.
