Trinity Health earns national recognition for sustainability efforts

MINOT, ND (KXNET) — One medical center in Minot is being recognized as a top performer when it comes to sustainability. Trinity Health is being recognized by Vizient, Inc. as a top-ranked performer in the Complex Care Medical Center cohort of the 2025 Sustainability Excellence Awards.

Ben Anderson, vice president of patient care and chief nursing officer at Trinity Health, said they buy products like medications, equipment, and supplies through Vizient.

Anderson said Vizient provides Trinity information and allows them to focus on being as sustainable as possible when it comes to energy, space, people, and money.

“Anything and everything, we have literally thousands of products coming into the hospital and the health system every day,” Anderson said, “and allowing Vizient to give us recommendations on what to purchase and maybe what not to and what quantities allows us to make those good decisions that we otherwise couldn’t on our own.”

Trinity health was chosen out of more than one thousand organizations evaluated across seven cohorts.
